HOUSTON – Feb. 26, 2013 Ramesh S. Chintala, P.E, D.WRE, CFM, joins planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) as a regional storm water manager. In this role, Chintala will be responsible for growing and strengthening the firm’s established storm water practice throughout Texas.
Chintala has more than 20 years of experience in water resources planning and engineering. An expert in modeling the hydrologic and hydraulic behavior of river and storm water systems, Chintala has studied rivers and watersheds in a wide variety of environments throughout the United States.
“Ramesh’s expertise as a water resources engineer and his experience in managing projects, programs, and client relationships will enable LAN to provide an enhanced level of service to our North Texas clients,” said LAN’s flood control & drainage team leader, Derek A. St. John, P.E., CFM.
Chintala received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from University of Delhi, India, and his master’s degree in environmental studies from Baylor University. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers-Environmental and Water Resources Institute, Texas Floodplain Management Association, and the Society of American Military Engineers. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas and California, a credentialed diplomate of the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers, and a certified floodplain manager.
